When you use a service from Mortgage for Ukrainians we will process all kinds of data and documents in order to successfully complete a credit and/or mortgage application. This has to do with the requirements set by a provider or the legislator and it will differ per type of application which data and documents are required to successfully complete the application. Your contact person within our organization will always inform you of which data is required and which organization receives it.

How long we keep personal data

Mortgage for Ukrainians does not store your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. We are, however, obliged to keep data and documents from customers/mortgage applications in order to comply with laws and regulations in the financial market.

After the retention period has expired, your personal data will be deleted or anonymised. Anonymization means that your personal data is stripped of all possible identifying features, so that no one can see that it is about you.

Sharing personal data with third parties

Mortgage for Ukrainians shares your personal data with various third parties if this is necessary for the execution of the agreement and to comply with any legal obligation. We conclude a processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. HypotheekOnline remains responsible for these processing operations. In addition, Mortgage for Ukrainians will provide your personal data to other third parties if this is necessary for the acceptance of the mortgage. We only do this with your explicit permission. This includes appraisers, civil-law notaries, National Guarantee, insurers and mortgage lenders.

View, modify or delete data

You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your consent to the data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by Mortgage for Ukrainians and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send your personal data that we have in a computer file to you or another organization mentioned by you. You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data or request for withdrawal of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to info@hypotheekonline.nl. To ensure that the request for inspection has been made by you, we ask you to enclose a copy of your proof of identity with the request. Make your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and citizen service number (BSN) black in this copy. This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but within four weeks.

However, we may not be able to delete all data and documents if, for example, you are a customer of ours or have purchased a product from us with regard to mortgage advice or arranging the mortgage. We are legally obliged to keep certain data for a longer period of time in order to comply with the requirements of regulators and institutions in the financial sector.

How we secure personal data

Mortgage for Ukrainians takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification.

We ensure that the websites are provided with the very latest security updates of the software or plug-ins used. Our website is also provided with an SSL certificate (green lock).

We have also taken appropriate organizational measures to prevent unauthorized persons from infringing the processing(s) of personal data within our company. For example, we have secured our office building against unauthorized entry and we have tailored the access rights to our data systems per employee to the activities that the relevant employee performs in the context of the processing of personal data. We keep log files from which we can see who has performed which actions within our data systems.
